Basketball Recap: Mt. Olive Comes Up Short

Mt. Olive was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 57-29 loss at the hands of the Pawnee Indians. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 48-24 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Mt. Olive still got an impressive performance from Matthew Bywater, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Mt. Olive's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pawnee, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Mt. Olive wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-37 victory against Dupo on the 17th. Pawnee has also already played their next contest, a 54-20 loss against Staunton on the 17th.
