Basketball Game Preview: Linville Hill Warriors vs. Northwest Area Rangers

The Linville Hill Warriors will face off against the Northwest Area Rangers on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Linville Hill comes in on three and Northwest Area on 18.

Linville Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Old Forge by a score of 75-63.

Linville Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Tibbins, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 assists. That's the most assists Tibbins has posted since back in January of 2024. Stephen Smucker was another key player, going 11-for-13 to rack up 23 points.

Tibbins wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Linville Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up nine more assists than Old Forge's also-impressive total of ten.

Meanwhile, Northwest Area didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Northgate on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 60-55 victory.

Linville Hill's win bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Northwest Area, their victory bumped their record up to 26-3.
