They were the victim of a rough 52-30 defeat at the hands of Cristo Rey Tampa. The loss means Tampa Bay Christian Academy is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cristo Rey Tampa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryan Vargas, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Evans, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Tampa Bay Christian Academy bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.8 points per game. As for Cristo Rey Tampa, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.

Varsity Opponent has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 15.
