Softball Recap: John Jay Comes Up Short

John Jay fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Nyack on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Hawks by a score of 6-4. The Wolves' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

John Jay now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Nyack, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, John Jay will be playing at home against Midwood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.4 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Nyack, they will head out on the road to square off against North Rockland at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
