Bishop Walsh's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Calvary Christian Academy 59-57. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against Calvary Christian Academy back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-30 loss.

Calvary Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Geren Knight, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Riley O'Brien, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Bishop Walsh's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-16. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Calvary Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-10.

Bishop Walsh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-30 defeat against Frankfort on the 15th. Calvary Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
