Soccer Recap: Bartram Trail Victorious

Bartram Trail was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They beat the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets by a goal, winning 2-1. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Matthew Steinkamp was the driving force of Bartram Trail's attack as he scored both of Bartram Trail's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Bartram Trail's record is now 9-2-5. As for St. Augustine, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12-2.

Bartram Trail didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against West Orange on the 17th. As for St. Augustine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against ED White on the 23rd.
