Central Pointe Christian Academy extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 3-0. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 59-55 W against the Lakeland Dreadnaughts. The CPCA have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dreadnaughts, too.

As for Lakeland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

ZAKHARIA RUTLEDGE and KENNEDY BORDERS certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. RUTLEDGE shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards, while BORDERS went 5-for-12 to rack up 17 points and six rebounds. RUTLEDGE has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last three times she's played.
