Basketball Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Lanphier Lions
Lincoln and Lanphier are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Lincoln Railsplitters will welcome the Lanphier Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
Lincoln fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Glenwood on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. While losing is never fun, the Railsplitters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Titans are ranked 85th).
