Baseball Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short

Westminster had taken Santa Ana down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Westminster fell just short of Santa Ana by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Saints this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-2 loss last Tuesday.

Nathan Bernal made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Canul, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Westminster dropped their record down to 4-5-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Santa Ana, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6-1.
