Baseball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-14. They came up short against the Lincoln Trojans, falling 16-0. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Lincoln, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-8. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Lincoln's part, Brayden Glaser was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Glaser has posted since back in March of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Lincoln got a big performance out of Trey Jackson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Jackson has become a key player for the Trojans: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Colton Clark was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

While West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
