Softball Preview: Boulder City Eagles vs. Canyon Springs Pioneers        
        
		
            Boulder City is  a perfect 6-0 against Canyon Springs since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to  square off against the Pioneers  at 3:30  p.m. Boulder City will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
Boulder City proved they can win big  on Thursday (they won by 15) and  on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Pahrump Valley  8-6.

 Payton Rogers was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Rogers wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Hayden Nordstrom, who  went 2-for-5 with one  stolen base and one  run. Another  was  Teya McDaniel, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  double.
 Boulder City  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in 17 consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 23  runs the game before, Canyon Springs was a bit more limited  in their  matchup  on Thursday. They came up short against  The Meadows School, falling  13-2. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
 Boulder City's win was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-7. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Canyon Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
 Everything went Boulder City's way against Canyon Springs when the teams last played  on April 8th, as Boulder City made off with  a  19-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
