Basketball Recap: Park Ridge Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Park Ridge lost against New Milford back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Park Ridge Owls took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Milford Knights.

Dariel Liranzo was nothing short of spectacular for New Milford: he went 10 of 18 en route to 23 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Placido, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Park Ridge's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for New Milford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Park Ridge and Saddle River Day will compete for holiday cheer at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Milford, they will welcome Dwight-Englewood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
