Waxahachie fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Cedar Hill on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 8-7. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Waxahachie's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-9. As for Cedar Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.

While Waxahachie had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
