Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Carroll

Fort Wayne Snider came into Friday's game looking for another win against Carroll, but Cala Haffner wouldn't allow it. The Carroll Chargers walked away with a 67-55 win over the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers on Friday thanks in part to Haffner, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game.

Fort Wayne Snider's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janaya Cooper, who went 7 for 10 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Brin Campbell also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The victory (which was Carroll's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Carroll will have a chance to go back-to-back against Fort Wayne Snider: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
