Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Northrop Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Northrop came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Woodlan Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-15.

Maleah Schmucker paced Fort Wayne Northrop's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schmucker got some help from Madison Corley and her 16 assists. Schmucker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Fort Wayne Northrop's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Woodlan, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Fort Wayne Northrop will take on Northridge at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Woodlan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Norwell on the 28th.
