Baseball Game Preview: Brooklyn Hurricanes vs. Cleveland Central Catholic Ironmen

The Brooklyn Hurricanes will take on the Cleveland Central Catholic Ironmen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Brooklyn is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Brooklyn didn't have quite enough to beat Medina Christian Academy and fell 3-1.

Brooklyn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zander Rolon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Cleveland Central Catholic brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They came out on top against Glenville by a score of 12-7 on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Ironmen as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brandyn Love was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Cleveland Central Catholic is 2-1 when Love posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise. Donovan Driscal was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Brooklyn's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Cleveland Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
