Softball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Gorham

Gorham got themselves on the board against Kennebunk on Wednesday, but Kennebunk never followed suit. They came out on top against Kennebunk by a score of 5-0. Five seems to be a good number for Gorham as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Not much got past Bella McBrady, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Kennebunk off the board. With that strong performance, McBrady is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Gorham let Tatum Wing and Brooklyn Giroux run wild. Wing went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Giroux went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That hit was Giroux's first of the season. Lily Tukey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Gorham's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kennebunk, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
