Volleyball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Community Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Faith Christian, Community Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pamlico Christian Academy Mariners.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Community Christian took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-13, 25-15.

Emilee Finberg paced Community Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Finberg really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 15. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Community Christian pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pamlico Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Community Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Jacksonville Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pamlico Christian Academy will challenge rival New Bern Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
