Bishop Union was handed a 40-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mission College Prep Royals 19-17.

Bishop Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hunter Dailey led the charge by rushing for 107 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Emory Dondero, who rushed for 16 yards and one score.

The win got Bishop Union back to even at 1-1. As for Mission College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
