Baseball Game Preview: Jackson South Side Hawks vs. Lexington Tigers

For the second straight game, Jackson South Side will face off against Lexington. The Hawks will square off against the Tigers at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson South Side's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Lexington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Jackson South Side fell victim to Lexington and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

For Lexington's part, the result came thanks to Logan Hayes's shutout, as he gave up just seven hits and racked up eight Ks. Hayes also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Tigers are 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Owen Foster, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.

Jackson South Side's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
