Baseball Recap: Crystal Lake Central Comes Up Short

Crystal Lake Central was the 9-1 winner over Hampshire when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Whip-Purs by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crystal Lake Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-19-1. As for Hampshire, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

While Crystal Lake Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
