Nathan Legano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Jordan O'Brien was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season. Adrian Hernandez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Hermitage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Glen Allen nor Godwin made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Jaguars took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Surprisingly, this marked the Jaguars' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
