Softball Recap: Latino College Preparatory Academy Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Latino College Preparatory Academy had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Del Mar Dons, falling 17-2. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Dons from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

ANDREA SANCHEZ made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Latino College Preparatory Academy Golden Eagles face off against Hill Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on March 17th. As for Del Mar, they have already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Gunn on the 27th.
