Basketball Recap: Maple Heights Mustangs vs. Twinsburg Tigers
If the Maple Heights Mustangs were riding high off their 57-30 takedown of the Bedford Bearcats last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Maple Heights took a serious blow against the Tigers on Monday, falling 55-20. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, Maple Heights couldn't push the score so high this time.
Maple Heights' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Treasure Cistrunk, who scored seven points, and Robyn Hardwick who scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Maple Heights' loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Twinsburg, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maple Heights will take on the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Twinsburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Geauga will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while the Tigers are ranked 247th).
