Softball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Centralia

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centralia). They never let the O'Fallon Panthers get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Orphans with their most commanding win of the season.

The win (which was Centralia's eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for O'Fallon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Centralia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Carbondale on the 22nd. As for O'Fallon, they have also already played their next match, a 13-5 loss against Edwardsville on the 22nd.
