Baseball Recap: Leflore County Takes a Loss

Leflore County lost against O'Bannon on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 20-8 to the Greenwaves. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Maurice Edwards made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged four or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bravian Askew, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Leflore County's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for O'Bannon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Leflore County and O'Bannon will both be playing Charleston the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Greenwaves will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
