Baseball Recap: Cromwell Takes a Loss

Cromwell and Oxford squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cromwell had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since May 17, 2024.

Cromwell got a good showing from James Vinchetti, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the first time Vinchetti hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in April.

At the plate, Cromwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Went, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Cromwell's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Oxford, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

As of now, neither Cromwell nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
