Basketball Recap: Screven County Finds Playoff Glory Versus Clinch County

Screven County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 62-56 W over the Clinch County Panthers on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Gamecocks as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Screven County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaliah Roberts, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 15 boards. Roberts' evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Achanti Middleton was another key player, putting up 18 points and five steals.

Screven County's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points over those games. As for Clinch County, their loss dropped their record down to 15-13.

Coming up, Screven County will square off against Wilcox County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox County will roll in looking for their 25th straight win, something Screven County surely won't give up without a fight. Clinch County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
