Football Recap: Covington Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Connor Maertens and Sully Stadler

Covington was the 38-0 winner over Parke Heritage when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell 28-15 to the Wolves on Friday.

Covington's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sully Stadler, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown, and Connor Maertens, who picked up 31 receiving yards and one TD.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parke Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Cooper, who rushed for 47 yards and one score, and also picked up 69 receiving yards.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Parke Heritage, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
