Softball Recap: Wekiva Comes Up Short

Wekiva managed to slip by Lake Buena Vista the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Vipers on Thursday, falling 17-8. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Wekiva's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-9. As for Lake Buena Vista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wekiva will be taking part in a tournament against Windermere at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Buena Vista, they will face off against West Orange at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
