Despite the defeat, Union Colony Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dulce Morales had 17 digs and one assist. Morales has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Dayspring Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-11.
Union Colony Prep better keep an eye on Matise Lujan. She was instrumental in Dayspring Christian Academy's win, getting 13 digs and two aces. Abby Brown also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Dayspring Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive matches.
