Nobody could stop Travis Clifton on Wednesday as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one earned run. This season, he has an ERA of 2.29 over 33.7 innings pitched.

Even though Clifton couldn't lead Kingsburg over Central Valley Christian, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are 8-2 against the Cavaliers going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
