Basketball Game Preview: Chicago Hope Academy vs. Lincoln Park Lions

Chicago Hope Academy will head out on the road to take on the Lincoln Park Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chicago Hope Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.

Chicago Hope Academy will head out to face Lincoln Park after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Chicago Hope Academy fell to St. Edward 66-60.

Despite the defeat, Chicago Hope Academy got top-tier performance from Amoria Allen, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Allen a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Janessa Centeno, who posted four points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Park played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Crane Medical, falling 58-16. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Cougars are ranked 64th).

Chicago Hope Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Lincoln Park, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Chicago Hope Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lincoln Park in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, but they still walked away with a 42-38 win.
