Volleyball Recap: Seventy-First Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against St. Pauls on Tuesday, Seventy-First came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Bulls 25-15 in the first set.

Seventy-First started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 15-25, 25-14, 25-12, 15-10.

Seventy-First dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for E.E. Smith, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Seventy-First didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Westover on the 7th. As for E.E. Smith, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Douglas Byrd on the 7th.
