Football Recap: Terry Johnson Jr. and Diallo Sekou Lead the Defense for Dunbar Win + How To Watch

Dunbar barely beat Eastern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crimson Tide blew past the Ramblers 42-21 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Crimson Tide in their matchups with the Ramblers: they've now won seven in a row.

Darius Knight was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 38 yards and two scores.

Dunbar didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Eastern to a completion percentage of just 50%. The last time the Crimson Tide's completion percentage was this high was back in September of 2024.

Dunbar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Terry Johnson Jr. and Diallo Sekou. That interception was Sekou's first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Eastern lost, don't look at William Simmons. Despite the final result, he rushed for 119 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

The win got Dunbar back to even at 5-5. As for Eastern, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.

Dunbar didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 25-19 victory against Roosevelt on the 15th. As for Eastern, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-7 defeat against Coolidge on the 15th.
