Basketball Recap: Odessa Find Success

Odessa waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over the Maryville Spoofhounds. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Odessa's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Maryville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Odessa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-49 victory against Knob Noster on the 19th. As for Maryville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Platte at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
