Preview: Killeen Kangaroos vs. Chaparral Bobcats
Killeen has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Chaparral Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Killeen ended up a good deal behind University and lost 65-47. Killeen has not had much luck with University recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Chaparral suffered their biggest defeat since December 28, 2023 on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 73-47 walloping at the hands of Belton. Chaparral was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-17.
Chaparral's defeat came about despite a quality game from CJ Norwood, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Brad Miles, who scored eight points.
Killeen's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-21. As for Chaparral, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season.
Killeen might still be hurting after the 62-40 loss they got from Chaparral when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Killeen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
