Football Game Preview: Wilde Lake vs. Centennial

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Wilde Lake. On Friday they take on Centennial at 7:00 PM. Wilde Lake will be strutting in after a victory while Centennial will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Wilde Lake had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 29-20 win over Atholton. The success made it back-to-back wins for Wilde Lake.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-47, which was the final score in Centennial's tilt against Marriotts Ridge last week. This makes it the second loss in a row for Centennial.

Centennial's loss took them down to 0-2 while Wilde Lake's victory pulled them up to 2-0. In their victory, Wilde Lake relied heavily on senior Eli Fisher, who threw 3 TDs and picked up 58 yards on the ground; a key strategy for Centennial will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
