Preview: Stargate School Eagles vs. Prospect Ridge Academy Miners
Two dominant in Dylan Perkins and Liam Schilling are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Stargate School Eagles will be playing at home against the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Stargate School is ranked 126th, while the Miners are ranked 114th).
Stargate School struggled with threes on Tuesday (the Sun Devils had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Stargate School was beaten by the Sun Devils 84-42. Stargate School has not had much luck with the Sun Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nickolas Hofer, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Camden Cottrell was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, even though Eagle Ridge Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Prospect Ridge Academy still came out on top. Prospect Ridge Academy took their game against the Warriors 70-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Prospect Ridge Academy.
Stargate School's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-6.
Stargate School came up short against the Miners in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 58-51. Thankfully for Stargate School, Max Vacco (who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
