Baseball Recap: Salem Hills Finds Playoff Glory Versus Olympus

It's playoff time, and Salem Hills had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Olympus Titans 3-2 on Tuesday. For the Skyhawks, this counts as revenge for the 11-10 win the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

Talon Cloward was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Salem Hills is 3-1 when Cloward posts two or more stolen bases, but 12-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Trey Mitchell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Salem Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-16 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Olympus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.

As of now, neither Salem Hills nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
