Normal Community got themselves on the board against Centennial on Monday, but Centennial never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Chargers. The Ironmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Luke Klunke tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Brady Burkhart was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Drew Stevens also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
