Baseball Recap: Madison La Follette Takes a Loss

Madison La Follette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sun Prairie West Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Tuesday.

Christian Castro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Dominic Sunderlage also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Madison La Follette's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Sun Prairie West, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Madison La Follette is set to face off against their familiar foe Madison West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sun Prairie West will challenge rival Sun Prairie East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
