Football Recap: Sandy Valley Comes Up Short

Sandy Valley lost against Manchester back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals were dealt a 48-13 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Although Sandy Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Liam Fetty and Bo Bernower.

Ayden Meade was a one-man wrecking crew For Manchester. as he rushed for 153 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. Those 153 rushing yards gave Meade a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Donatelli, who gained 63 total yards and two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Sandy Valley and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Manchester, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandy Valley will welcome East Canton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Manchester, they will take on Firestone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
