Baseball Recap: Cotter Wins Going Away Against Lead Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cotter). They blew past the Lead Hill Tigers 16-6 on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Cole Tilton made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Tilton was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Will Morris and AJ Lyon did most of the damage at the plate: Morris scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Lyon scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Jackson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Cotter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Cotter now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lead Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Cotter will head out on the road to challenge Mountainburg at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Cotter will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. Lead Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Norfork at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st.
