Baboquivari came tearing into Monday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 43-35 victory over the San Pasqual Valley Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-21 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, San Pasqual Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aaliyah Rea posted 18 points and five rebounds. Rea is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Kyla Emerson was another key player, putting up eight points and 14 boards.

Baboquivari is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.1 points per game. As for San Pasqual Valley, they moved to 16-4 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Baboquivari does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Pasqual Valley, they will challenge North Phoenix Preparatory Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. San Pasqual Valley's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
