Volleyball Recap: Gordon Lee Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Gordon Lee had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hixson Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Gordon Lee easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12.

Emma Young paced Gordon Lee's offense, picking up seven kills. Young got some help from Whitney Blaylock and her 19 assists. Young was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Gordon Lee's win bumped their record up to 31-9. As for Hixson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Gordon Lee will take on Sonoraville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hixson, they will face off against Red Bank at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
