Basketball Recap: Celebration Storm vs. Edgewater Eagles
The Celebration Storm's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Edgewater on the road and fell 70-43.
Celebration lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Evelyn Juden, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Juden has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Ortiz, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Celebration has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Edgewater, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Celebration is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Edgewater, they will face off against the Hawks at TBD on Monday. Lake Minneola will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
