Baseball Game Preview: Knightdale Knights vs. Wake Prep Academy Guardians

The Knightdale Knights will take on the Wake Prep Academy Guardians at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Knightdale's offense. They fell just short of Millbrook by a score of 1-0 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Wake Prep Academy had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Franklin Academy 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Guardians have posted since March 26th.

Ethan Hernandez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Easton Booser, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Knightdale has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Wake Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
