Basketball Recap: Knox Redskins vs. South Central Satellites
Knox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-32 loss at the hands of the South Central Satellites. The game was a close 24-22 at the break, but unfortunately for the Redskins it sure didn't stay that way.
Several Redskins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dayton Yeck, who posted 12 points. Thanks to that strong game, Yeck now owns an excellent 42.3% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Teagen Johnson, who scored four points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Howard, who to rack up 16 points and five rebounds. Howard continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Haschel, who had 15 points and eight boards.
Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for South Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
Knox wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-28 victory against Culver Community on the 25th. South Central has also already played their next game (against Westville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
