Football Recap: North Providence Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for North Providence's offense. They were beaten by the Classical Purple 38-0 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 42-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for North Providence and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Classical, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Providence will take on rival Central Falls at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Classical is set to challenge their familiar foe Chariho at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
